Epidemic Sounds !

We just thought we would share with you a new feature of our YouTube vlogs. For the past three or four we have been using royalty free music from the subscription service Epidemic Sound.

This allows us to use a much more varied, interesting and depth of music in our vlogs. When restricted by the free catalogue on YouTube, there are some stand out tracks but the majority are mediocre. Good quality etc but not varied or interesting enough.

I think the big difference toons can make was highlighted when we used Sweet Baby by Cody Francis in our Shell vlog as part of the Meet the Crew Series. We had lots of great feedback about that song and it went on to be a very successful vlog on the channel, understandably as Shell is a pretty, beautiful and compassionate Human. But that was the first instance of our channel using a song with lyrics.

We won’t necessarily use lyrics all the time, but to have that option is pretty special and can certainly add to the feels of a vlog or help to interpret a feeling…. Or just too simply express a feeling of gratefulness that it’s a beautiful sunny day! (As we have in the two ‘Out, Out’ vlogs).

Also what I think makes this especially awesome is that we can then share all of the music used in a vlog as a soundtrack/playlist. We have only done this for the two latest vlogs but it will be a regular feature for our Wednesday release. It will be the third or fourth item in the description box of the vlog, and will look something like this: https://www.epidemicsound.com/playlist/q60huqol5sxdifx0x7k5u3e928lwp2u1

Finally I would just like to add that if you are a creator whether it be for YouTube or Vimeo or any other platform, you can get a free trial here

Thanks for coming… See you outside somewhere….
